I think it is safe to say that 2020 has taken a direction that nobody really expected. What I found interesting, looking back at this piece the other day, was that I noticed a black membrane above the bird, like a dark corona that the bird peep has to break through to be able to soar into the skies and toward the stars.
I had never noticed this before and in retrospect deepens the meaning of this piece on a personal level (& possibly trans-personal.)
